are you using 4 numbers hypen 4 numbes 1234-5678?? With me always have to do it twice....I log in and it says UCI number not valid so I block it delete and retype exactly the same thing and then it works......
Hmm I have never used the hyphen and it works. Weird.

yeah it is because I always put the hypen in and then hit go or whatever and a big red blurb pops up saying to put in hypen!!!!

Actually it works with or without the hyphen, for me.

Are you using a lawyer to file the paperwork or doing it yourself? I used a lawyer and right now since the March applications are being processed, I just wanted to know who would be receiving the communication from CPC? my lawyer or myself? especially AOR, Approval etc?

If you are using a representative (lawyer or consultant) then physical correspondence is sent to them. Electronic correspondence is usually sent to both at the same time (assuming they have e-mail addresses for both). I've received both in the past - physical mail always went to the lawyer, e-mail always went to both of us.

6 years is a normal processing delay? Wow...welcome to the efficiency of the Canadian Gov't!!

http://www.immigration.ca/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=9963&title=family-class-sponsorship-within-canada

Application filed May 2006
Started Processing November 2006
Transfer to Sudbury (now closed) May 2007
AIP June 2009

April 2012: response to status inquiry where CIC says "Our records confirm that your application received approval in principle in June 2009 – meaning the requirement to apply for and obtain a Permanent Resident Visa from a Canadian visa office abroad in the normal manner, would be waived. Currently, officers are proceeding with statutory background checks (medical, criminal, security) on this case. You will be contacted should immigration officers require anything further. Therefore, it appears that this application is proceeding normally with no unexpected or unwarranted delays."

June 20: received OWP.

So if you think you've waited a long time, imagine being the poor soul who has been "in process" for SIX YEARS and CIC describes as "... this application is proceeding normally with no unexpected or unwarranted delays."

A quick question for everyone

Are you using a lawyer to file the paperwork or doing it yourself? I used a lawyer and right now since the March applications are being processed, I just wanted to know who would be receiving the communication from CPC? my lawyer or myself? especially AOR, Approval etc?

If you filled and signed use of a representative forms (IMM 5476) and gave your lawyer's address and information, then your lawyer will receive the correspondence from CIC.
