Very long and costly process daw ang pagkuha ng license the closest we can get is dental assistant which compared to other tradework eh same lng din ang rate per hour sa canada..good thing for me kc i took culinary arts in 2007 and have 1 yr of work experience sa Au.maybe im going to pursue nlang my culinary career as survival job which i check ok nman ang rate per hour sa mga cook doon.

Hi docmike!
As of now, parang mas gus2 ko mgaral ng hygienist... Malaki kc per hour and wd commission pa! ;)

Good for you kc may iba kang skills atleast 2 working options mo! :)

Here's the link of my thread about my refusal: http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/honest-mistake-t42448.0.html;msg296134#msg296134
Please find time to read it.

Keep the faith, submit to the Lord siya nakaka-alam kung tuloy ka o hindi, ika nga "Thy will be done".

BTW, just to make you feel better. It took us 8 yrs. bago lumabas ang PPR namin, ayos ba?

What a journey.... inspiring!

Congrats po ;)

Hello, sanrio girl. Thanks!

As to the currency, we'll have to bring in CAD since the POF for the application is in Canadian. I am not certain if US currency will be accepted at the port of entry and I suppose you'll have to bring in a larger amount since hindi sila equal ng value? The speaker says we''ll have to bring in the whole amount required for the POF (depending on how many family members). Since the POF exceeds 10K CAD just declare it daw. It is expected of us that we'll be carrying that amount since we are under skilled worker category (yung mga family class lang hindi). Skilled workers and provincial nominees are required to satisfy the immigration officer that they have with them the POF (pero usually naman daw hindi chinicheck pero why risk it diba).

You may use bank draft or cash. I heard it can be used in combination. Baka mawala. I have pasted below a link to qorax's post about the subject for more information. ;) Please double check with the official CIC website regarding the amount required since qorax's post was already 2 years ago and the value has increased slightly.

Thanks Butetebetlog for the inputs. I will also read the post of qorax for more idea. Thank you for making it easy for me. It is indeed very helpful. God bless you always! :)

Thanks po. Na-inspire kasi ako sa show ng isang abogado noong araw na "Kapag may katwiran ipaglaban mo".

hi to all those who have received their Passports back from CEM!

I just want to know if there's changes in your ECAS. Does it shows "DECISION MADE" or still "IN PROCESS"?

Thanks!

Hi, dentista! Share ko lang, medyo similar tayo ng plans although I'm not a dentist (an RN). I get a diploma wholly from a Canadian college. 3 sems kasi pag bridging program for internationally educated nurses and I assume their costs would be approximately the same with the full LPN course. Saka pag bridging program certificate lang makuha and my diploma would still be from the Phils. I just hope financial assistance for immigrants is being offered. How long would it take for you to be a hygienist if ever pumasok kayo dun? Ok din if you consider a career shift to culinary, masaya siguro if your leisure and passion ang iyong livelihood. :)
