Did any of you consider approaching your MP for an update regarding your application?
I would after the file was 12 months in Manila. But for now everything seems to be moving as to schedule and I can get my own information through GCMS notes. They can't really do anything until you are over the processing time.

I went to the NDP MLA in the Filipino part of town. They called the VO or CIC whichever they have a direct line to and I was told that even though my application arrived in Manila in October they haven't even opened it yet.

Just checked ecas since I haven't bothered to check in a couple of weeks. Prior to the crash it had in February under the sponsorship it said "Decision Made". After the crash under sponsorship it said 'In Process". After several calls to CIC and thru my MLA and finally the last nasty email I sent to CEM concerning the lack of attention to my file it has now been changed back to "Decision Made".

LOL.....what a clown school.

did Mississauga send back your application before it was transfered to Manila... ours was done proper and took 42 days to tansfer...but still looks like I,m going to be one that is going to beat the PPR record....over 200 days....I bet... like they said pay inadvance it will move faster.... thats a crock of sh(((%%%it.... to tell you the truth...when we got married in may/12 it was 7 months for everything...if I had to do this again.... I would have never done it.... the CEM is worse than the communist gov,t from the 80,s.... Hell can,t even bring my wife here for a 2 week visit... so I never bothered for a visotors visa... yet they can approve that in 6 days... they say she won,t go back...yet they know she has to go back for a 230 day wait for a PPR.... what alife to have waiting when both my wife and I are in our 50,s... keep in touch....

No they didn't send it back. They created a file and UCI # and then told me to resend the missing documents.

Did you really send CEM a nasty email?

The embassy is open today. Per their website they are pretty much following the regular holidays observed in Canada. However it certainly felt like they were on holiday yesterday.

Oh... he said it was Araw ang something, but I didn't catch what it was the Araw of.. I thought it was just another barangay behind the river. Seems like everybody has an Araw araw-araw if you get my drift.

How reliable the ECAS is? I saw a post from one of the members last 2011 with the following details :

Re: ALL SPOUSE APPEAL CASES COME HERE AND JOIN US PLZ« Reply #25 on: November 21, 2011, 10:50:55 pm »QuoteI never thought one day I would be part of this kind of group. We were SO SURE my husband and I to get visa.
March 31, 2011......... Application received at Rabat, Morocco
June 27, 2011........... Visa office phoned my husband to ask his wife (me) to pay for visa asap and was also told his chances were good to travel to Canada with me after my visit to him during summer
July 2011.................. Medicals received
Sept. 12, 2011........... Interview (40 minutes)Mid-
October 2011....... E-cas showed "In Process"
Nov. 4, 2011.............. E-cas showed "Decision made"
Nov. 14, 2011............ My husband received refusal letter stating our relationship is not genuine. The said letter does not give any reasons, arguments or facts. We doubt it is because of age difference (I am 20 years older)
Nov. 21, 2011............ Hired the services of an immigration consultant and notice of appeal was signed and sent today

Any thoughts on this?

Ok well Chelseaviel.. you're reading the appeal thread! I avoid that thread as though it was contagious :o
Are you not feeling good about your application? I've never seen a Filipino applicant denied, not in hanging around here for a whole year.. except for the one girl who was a sponsored child and didn't meet the requirements. Did you order your GCMS notes yet? It can give you a really good idea what they're looking for in terms of your relationship proof.
