My current application is "in Process" and I understand that the average processing time is indicated in the website depending on the visa office. I know that the processing time is 14 months in our case. My question is the reckoning date for the 14 months. Is it from the time when the CIC says it received the application (which is Nov 2012), or the time the Manila visa office receives the application from CIC Mississauga (which is March 2013)?

Also, if the reckoning date is Nov. 2012, do we add the 28 days sponsorship approval for myself to the 14 months (i.e. 28 days + 14 months), or is this included in the 14 months?

Hi, thank you for having an interest in my post. The application for visa was sent last year September and followed by some documents needed. I'm not sure about the type of Family Class Application. Sponsorship? What do you mean by VO and the Inland/outland? I'm sorry to ask these. For my sister in canada is the one whose fixing and arranging the application to the three of us. Me, my father (principal sponsor) and my mother.

Yes, my father is the principal sponsor for permanent resident. So for the processing times of 42 months that will start from the day we've submitted the first documents and files 3 years ago. How about the visa application how might long will it take? From the time we've submitted the required documents last september 2013.

42 months from the time CIC received application for 80% of applications.
Some sooner, some longer. Only god knows how much longer.
Immigration works at their own pace.VISA will be issued when process complete.
