Mailed passport but USPS left notice to Los Angeles Visa office

Guys,

I mailed my passport via USPS express mail. i tracked the package and the status shows that a delivery attempt was made and a notice was left at the visa office. Please advise what to do next. Is the visa office going to pickup the package or will request redelivery of the package?

or should i call usps myself and request it to be redelivered?

it is better to call USPS to redelivery the envelope. Because for visa office it is quite uncertain to collect the package from the USPS office.

Tell them to go again and specify them about the timings also. USPS people are mad , they should know that that this mail is for visa office, they are not going to call or visit to collect the package.

It looks like someone picked up from the visa office as I checked the status this morning and it is now "Delivered" and signed by someone. I hope that was legit.

Just to be sure, yesterday I emailed the visa office for them to be informed about the Notice Left status. I got worried because there has been many cases that USPS tracking says they left a notice and the notice was either lost or USPS never really left anything at all. That's why i decided to inform the visa office and asked them what is the best thing to do for that matter. Visa office has not replied yet but if they indeed got the package, they will surely inform me.

Hi Skilledpro. Did you ask L.A. if you can do it in person? Somebody mentioned about dropping passport in L.A. I live about 20 minutes from their office and wants to do it personally. My consultant just received PPR today. Keep me posted as to when you receive back your pp. Thanks.

No i did not ask LA about personal delivery. I decided to mail my passport instead since the ppr letter did not mention about any alternative.
