Well i understand your sentiments R. My wait goes on and i am happy for you that you are a fair bit further down the line with LVO.. You will get there in the end.

It is a tough gig at the moment and i still don't have a 2nd line! We'll share a jar in Toronto ( we have to do that) and look fondly back on the stress levels that we are experiencing at the moment. Then we'll have a coffee with Mr President and other posters. Mr Engineer will have to reveal himself. I give you............ Jason Kenney!

Quality.

Best pub I found in Toronto is the Loose Moose as the manager (A year ago now but maybe still there) was a kiwi and was happy to whack the rugby be on for me. Also got a load of frisbees and beach balls for free. Well this is my choice for a jar or two, or three.

I will not look fondly back at this period of my life. I will laugh at the funny times that have happened through this experience but I fully intend forget this period as all it has taught me is that I do not like being made to wait. I really did not need to learn this lesson!

Mr E as Mr Kenney, oh how that would crack me up. ;D
 
It brings serious stress to a relationship, family and individual. We are all in the same boat and it's times like this when you can have an outlet to express your fustration. It really is an almighty awful gut wrenching thing but we all hope the rewards will be worth it in the end. So many good people on this board. It really is a life line for a lot of people, myself included.

For a man who doesn't do waiting R then watch Cartman in South Park doing his back to the future stuff. He wanted to be buried as he was so impatient. :o

Where are all our buddies on this board. Roll call pleaase folks. Who's awake?

Ha Ha Ha Ha and that episode is quite apt from Southpark. Our logic is better than yours.

I m not going to go on Cartoon too much as I think he has offended every single minority that there is. I do however completely understand his frustration at waiting for the Wii.

A question: if someone has lived in various cities, within the same country, since the age of 18, will the security checks take longer?? Mr.E, or anybody else has any idea??

It shouldn't take longer as long as there is a central centre for recording offences. I ran out of room in my app for addresses as i have moved around the UK so much.

The envelope size was only specified with the initial application to CIC in Novia Scotia and nowhere in the medical request it is mentioned that the documents have to be sent in a certain envelope. And btw, I sent my initial application in a different sized envelope than specified and they accepted my application without any issues. But again, this was only required for the initial application. Maybe there was another issue with ramzy2277's documents (with the address, etc.).

Please let me know the procedure for dropping of the documents after you have dropped them off at the LVO if you decide to do that. I'm just 30 minutes away from the LVO so I might do that as well once I have my medicals done.

Hi Mikki,

I finally sent all docs + RPRF to LVO, should be delivery tomorrow by 1:00pm. I did not choose the drop of box in the end as the LVO mentions it's not given any preference and you have to queue outside the CIC for security check (there is a list of items you are not allowed in). Don't forget to take into account the traffic because of the Olympics....

I think the security checks are within a country and not individual cities. In my PCC for the UK I has to put all the addresses we lived in for the last 10 years and the certificates come with a result from the Police National Computer "No Trace". The one from Peru States that is records from the National Police. I think the security checks are done with those PCCs and the time it takes may have something to do with if you can check the authenticity of the PCCs online or not.

Please anyone correct me if I'm wrong...

If you're worried that is going to take long for the last PCC you can always sent the rest of the forms, PCC & RPRF with a cover letter explaining you're still waiting for one PCC and don't want to delay process and will forward last PCC as soon as received. They may start criminality checks with what they got and save time since your file is supposed to be opened every time new info is received. Good Luck

nope, security check is conduct to Ur PCC, if u have got UK pcc they will confirm it with ACRO and security checks are done!!
