We have at least one person who we suspect of using different user names to proclaim how it's okay to use people and fake marriages to enter Canada. He's a troll in addition to encouraging criminal behavior.

There's a few "obvious" trolls lurking around the forum. **clears throat**

They purport receiving their visas and meanwhile it's all made up thinking others would be dumb enough to fall for it. They know they can't even see the finish line. Why do ppl do this? Beats me but if anyone knows anything about the laws of the universe, well......LOL!! No shame!

As far as I understand it they are supposed to treat each application separately. But honestly how do they do that? I can't imagine they would not have some questions as to why they stopped the process before and are now trying again.

On the other hand marriages can go through these difficult times and it could have been a rash decision that they now regret.

Short story long.... I don't think they are treated "differently" but I am sure when it comes to looking at genuineness there will be more scrutiny.

Also their second application was submitted 9 months ago. I'm presuming if they questioned the genuineness of the relationship, they would have been called to interview already. Would you agree?

My sister has done that.. but she actually ended up sending $3000 CAD, touched by a "sad" story. I hope these SOBs rot in hell for deception!

OMG!!!! Why?????

Unfortunately life isn't fair. It never has been. Never will be. That's reality and we have to deal the best we can.

Ok...but where was the application sent? Do you mean that they have been approved for sponsorship and are now awaiting confirmation from the applicants country?

Also, where is this applicant applying from...thats a huge factor in how long the process will take.

Yes precisely. They got sponsor approval in June and was forwarded to Kingston Jamaica.

Kingstons current posted processing time is 17 months....they are way off from hearing from them yet.

They are just going to have to keep waiting at this point.

Kingston may post 17 months for their processing time but it doesn't take that long, besides i never heard of anyone who actually waited that long. applicants here in Jamaica are getting PPR between 9 to 12 months.

Great! .. if that is the case then the couple should be hearing shortly if they need an interview or not!

Our visa office took every second (and more) of their 10 month processing time. But it was worth it in the end ;D

Actually it could take longer depending on the circumstances of the applicant however through the KG forum ppl have gone through in shorter time periods. The forum here doesn't emcompass the remaining 1000 applicants that we don't hear about.

17 months means 80% of applicants are processed in 17 months or less. So yes, many will see shorter wait times. 20% will see longer.

That is one of the problems of a public forum. You might talk to someone for months or years at a time but a lot of people post a few times and never return.
