We been married 8 months now, and the first 5 months were so hard on both of us. Sometimes I wondered if our marriage would survive but we had to put lots and lots and lots of work on it. Things are starting to pay off now, things are starting to be clearer. The sponsoship aproval also gave us hope.

If you can survive the first 2 years of marriage, you're in the clear. It's the adjustment period. I thought I was in the twilight zone at times. But definitely have to say, we appreciate each other more. It's all about growing and learning and adjusting.

This thread has stayed at the top all evening! High traffic!!!

First 2 years of marriage living under the same roof or first 2 years of marriage including this process?

This distance has taught us to actually communicate. I've been through a divorce already :-\ I know where I failed now :P

Haha well, it's time for me to shower then meet my hubby on skype :P

Under roof or apart. Was just referring to marriage in general.

I'm all tired out from this. Laughed so much. Like it went viral. It's a great social pop in even for a quick 15 min jump on!! Going to check on KG and then settling in.

How long are you staying in JA? The time is near approaching for you!!

You are too sweet :), thank you hun!

Last note for tonight.

When we work on bettering ourselves, we become better for those we are with.

Keep your faith up, don't let the distance and the snoring on the phone get to you, soon it will be right beside you. ;)

Good night ladies!

Me too! I'm in a bad rut and being able to yak about stuff related to sponsorship or not related at all is really great. I go to work, come home, Skype, sleep, repeat... Going to the bank is a challenge. None of my friends have been in this situation and i'm the first married. I don't think my husband would react the same way as peeps here if I said I hung up on him sometimes lol.

On a separate note, we got married in August and no question drives me crazier than "how's married life?" from people who know the situation!!
