Our lease said no pets too, but my husband convinced the landlord to let us have 1 cat. Then it took us 7 months to find the right one.

I'm defrosting at work after a two-hour commute. -20 this morning without the windchill in Toronto and our transit is hopeless.

Your kids will love all the snow!!! And maybe you hit your head a little harder last night.. doing all that aerobic activity that moonie was highlighting! Its important to stretch before those vigorous lunges and remember to remove all pictures from the walls!

This was the first year I have ever bought any of my kids winter boots and I only bought them because they were on sale and the store didn't have any rain boots! lol Although I am looking forward to having more than just rain for 10 months and even when it is cold there does tend to be sunny days which is pretty rare in the Seattle area most of the year!

at this point we would move to the moon if it meant we didn't have to live with the weight of possible deportation all the time! Getting to go home to Canada and being close to my dad and my sister are just the icing on the cake!!!

Yes we all are!! I haven't seen my dad for almost 6 years and it has been over 7 since I saw my sister! As soon as we had all of our paperwork sent in it was like a huge weight was off of our shoulders! Now my in-laws on the other hand are acting like we are moving to the moon :-X and in fact I think they would rather if we were...at least there is an American flag there...lol

Toronto has had mild winters (give or take the freaky changes in temperature and precipitation) for the last decade. The weather isn't consistently cold or snowy in the winter, but it's consistent in that we should expect the unexpected. This week has been abnormally cold!

I lived in Cambridge ON a decade ago and I still remember all the snow shoveling I had to do!!! I'm excited but a little fearful every time I look online at rentals and see snow everywhere! At least we will be moving out there in April so most of winter should be behind us and we will have all the heat to deal with before we get hit with the cold next fall!!
