Im hoping so! Then again im certain the distance doesnt make it any easier!

The distance is not easy especially with the timing difference for you and Mr. M.

I truly commend your patience and positivity.

:P Enjoy your shower!

Are your hubbies good at giving gifts? Mine is terrible :-X He didn't receive gifts when he was a child so he doesn't understand the concept. He told me he always looks for things for me but he is scared I won't like them. I have told him so many times I will love it just because it comes from him. He still doesn't get it. I'm starting to think that I just need to get used to the idea he shows his love other ways, but I loooooooooove giving gifts, it's the way how I show anybody my love (family, friends, my hubby).
So what are your thoughts? Am I crazy? :-X

You are not CrAzY!!!! I think it's really important for you to discuss your expectations with your husband. It is absolutely okay for you to want to receive gifts from him so just flat out tell him how much it means to you. Drop hints from time to time - I really love 'pink fuzzy slippers' so you can give him ideas of what to give you. Remember, it's always best to be open, honest, and direct with your hubby and not beat around the bush expecting him to read your mind. Although it may not be something he has done with his family in the past, YOU are his family now and you want to receive gifts because it's important to YOU!!!!

No your not crazy. I can relate to your hubby. First time i bought anything for mr m. I was nervous because i thought he wouldnt like it, or anything i bought i remember being in the store standing for an hour debating between two things. After all that stress he finally calmed me down saying it disnt matter what it was, it was the thought that mattered to him .

I dont know how to convince him otherwise, but just remind him how you enjoy anything he gives you and the thought really matters to you.

Im sure the others may have better ideas!

I agree. Focusing in your family and being honest is important!!!

Thank you for your opnions girlies, even though we have had long discussions about this topic, I had a bittter feeling inside me, I felt a little selfish for expecting things. He's been getting so much better at surprises and I just need to be patient...sheesh, like I'm not running low at patience with all this process already!

Are you kidding me? :-X we were considering moving to another country before stage 1. We didn't know if he would qualify as my sponsor. Even though our processing times aren't that long, we are all at risk. But we pray before going to bed at night, so I'll ask him to mention you guys in our prayers (he always ask what I want to include).
