Lost Record of Landing for Fingerprinting

Hey guys I need some advice because I'm freaking out right now.

I applied for my Citizenship and got a letter for Fingerprinting which is good. The problem is that they're requesting that I take with me my:

1) PR Card
2) Record of Landing
3) 2 Identification cards (passport/Drivers Licences)
4) Fees.

Problem is I don't have my Record of Landing, I lost that and thought I wouldn't need it once I got my PR card. I do have my PR card however. Will CIC accept my fingerprints without the record of landing? If I was to request a new one I heard that can take like 8 months

It's not a matter of CIC needing to see it with your FP results. It's that the person taking your fingerprints may need to see it. They may just accept your PR card and other ID.

Hey man that gives me a sigh of relief - I called the local citizenship fingerprinting place and they said all they need is 2 pieces of ID and they will send information to RCMP and RCMP will forward information to CIC

I was not asked for my COPR when I had my prints done. I offered it but was told that it was not required for my case.

Before you guys got your citizenship - was there any other scenarios where proof of landing was requested? the reason I'm asking is I will immediately request a copy from CIC after I send off my fingerprints.

I am assuming it may be requested during test or oath?

I had mine with me but I don't recall if the interviewer asked me for it.

edit: CIC website states 1 month processing time

You will need it later on when you're ready to retire and collect Canada pension so it's a good idea to go ahead and order a VOS now.

Yes, because you need to show how long you have actually lived in Canada. For some provinces you are required to work a certain amount of years to collect a pension from them. Not sure on all the rules of all the provinces, but here in Ontario you must work a minimum of 10 years to receive OPP. I think your CPP is based on the time you've spent working in Canada, which, if you are not born here, the dates are derived from your CORP (VOS if you've lost your original landing document)
