Long wait for LPP

Are you stuck in LPP only or BG as well? They seem to be two different beasts...

I guess we are in the same boat then. Have you guys called them? When you do, ask which office processes your application and whether it is non-routine. These are the only useful bits you can get from them?

I called last month. LPP not started. Vancouver office.
didn't check my tracker after that...

if your BG is still in process, most likely your file is non routine.

Yeah, my BG is passed, but still LPP on hold for 4 months. I see more and more forum posts that I'm simply in a queue for an interview.

If your BG is in progress, that means the whole security thing is pending. Good luck buddy, I hope it won't be too long for you.

Called them today and agent shared that LPP has not even started even though it says in progress,

Same here. AOR = Oct. 10, 2025. Background complete = Oct. 26, 2025. Test complete = Jan. 12, 2026. LPP pending since Jan. 12. Two GCMS notes in Feb and Apr already, both showed the same info: LPP not started, PM03 Grant Review Ready. Primary office = Vancouver, Secondary office = Sydney. No requests / interview / anything...

Should we be concerned? Will reaching out to MP help?

Not really since its within timeline, atleast thats what other applicants heard back from MP. I read somewhere in july 2025 thread (https://www.canadavisa.com/canada-i...-july-citizenship-applications.872549/page-94)

Your timeline is similar to mine. I applied for GCMS notes (full version) mid April, but have not received it yet. How long did yours take?

About 4-5 weeks. I requested through CBSA.

Have you tried calling IRCC? they can tell why its stuck if there's a reason or if its non-routine.

I called and all they say is you are still within your processing time and if we need any additional info, we will reach out.
