Dear Shazfa,
Generally they don’t reply unless they need more documents. I also send all documents of my new born through email. Never send hard copy unless specially requested. I also paid by credit card.

I send them scanned passport of newborn, scanned receipt of payment of new born, scanned birth certificates of newborn.

It took me around 3 months to get medical request after I send them all documents.

Dear Eleganceheart,

Thanks alot for taking out time for your reply. Yes i understand that you sent all the docs by email but how did you send the pictures of the new born ? by email also ? because i heard they need the original pictures ? i am also not sure about it thats why i want to confirm with you.

Many thanks again for your replies.

i send them scanned pic of my baby and they accepted but by the time they issue us visa we need to provide real.
It depends on visa officer. But generally they accept.

Guys is it ok to get a new passport made after getting COPR?

Will your passport expire before you land?

Why didn't you did that between MR and PPR if above is true?

These are the general questions which comes in mind at this stage.

But don't worry you can proceed with the renewal of passport.

Once you receive your new passports, please raise a 'Urgent CSE' and inform them and wait for their instructions to proceed.

They will ask you to submit your old passports and new and cancel the visa and old ones and renew your things.

**** Hopefully you know that your COPR/Visa Expiry Dates/Medical Expiry is not in February *****

All the best

Dear CanadaVisa Members,

Hope all is fine with you.

I have an important question. My spouse and I applied via FSW2014 and our case is assigned to a super lazy officer. My spouse is the main applicant and I HAVE NOT RECEIVED ANY POINTS BECAUSE OF MY EMPLOYMENT.

Our eligibility and medical were passed in early 2015. Unfortunately they forgot to send my file (not my spouse) for background check after eligibility and medical checks. Instead they sent it 9 months later after I contacted them. I found out about this in my GCMS. It was a mistake/misunderstanding about my file. My security check also passed 5 or 6 months ago. Our visa office average processing time was about 10 months and we have been kept waiting for about 30 months for no reasons. All of our friends got their visas in about 10 months or less from the same visa office.

All this time, I was self employed in a low level NOC (in my country) because I thought I was moving to Canada. Instead of committing myself in a related/better NOC (in my country), I chose a light work so I had plenty of time self-studying to build a background for a future career in a much better NOC in Canada (for the furture). I once again want to reiterate that I thought about 10 months of waiting time and did not even think we could be kept waiting for 30 months.

Now the problems arise because I am getting multiples of very nice job offers since last year and the only reason I didn't accept them is that I thought I had to inform the visa office and that pretty much scared me. Because I do not want to increase the processing time of our application. I am a little worried that they might reset the background checks because of my possible employment change.

I really need some certificates that requires some backgrounds in the related fields. My potential employers are also willing to give me more job experience testimony if I join them. This is something that I really cannot miss. But at the same time I am reluctant to endanger our application in a way that can cause more delays. It is a really bad dilemma.

I would be thankful if you could tell me if it is fine that I do not mention this potential change in application to them. I am still not sure if it is mandatory to report this or not. I again reiterate that I am not the main applicant and I have not received any points because of my degree or experience.

Thank you in advance

No it's not because the passport is expiring but because the pages are almost finished. Actually my spouse only had a couple of pages left in her passport and we utilized that for Canadian PR visa stamp. But the thing is my landing date is 15th May 2017 while my spouse has a baby delivery date on 30th June 2017. We wanted to get the baby delivered in our home country. So I emailed my London Visa Office and they were kind enough to extend my landing date. They basically said that if you are planning to have your baby delivered in your home country, then we should just inform them before 15th May 2017 so that they can cancel our current visas/COPRs and once baby is born ,they will request additional documents (like medicals, bank statements, passport of child etc) and if everything is in order, then will issue all 3 of us new visa/COPRs.

The only issue is that my spouse's passport does not have pages left to have another visa sticker stamped, so I was thinking of getting her passport renewed. The passport still has two-three blank pages remaining but they are not side-by-side. I'm assuming for visa, you require two blank pages side-by-side. I might be wrong on this though.

Great, then its all simple for you but little complicated afterwards

Please proceed with issuing new passports.

Once you receive new passports, raise one CSE to address about new passports [tell the reason honestly as they want to know] plus tell them that you want to extend dates.

Once they reply you back, order GCMS notes to see changes in your file [your choice]

Once your baby is delivered, inform the visa officer accordingly and he/she will tell you about the next moves [child photo/passport/medical/fee CAD 150]

Best to go down to London, submit and complete the paperwork if you can then ask them to mail it to you when ready. If you can pick it up as well all good. Where do you live in the UK?

Where do you reside? Even if your VO office is London, you don't actually need to send the passport to it. I personally suggest using vfs, somehow they tend to be more secure.

Thanks i stay in Nigeria, application was redistributed to London from accra, so got the mail from London, and am supposed to send the passport to London, so can i use dhl or have to use vfs.
