First of all, congratulations and good luck for smooth landing.

Regarding job offer from Saudi, you mention that it is "once in a lifetime" opportunity and you also don't want to trade-in it with PR of Canada. In such case, I will suggest you to move permannetly to Canada and try to get settled there ASAP, because this is your destiny as of now. If you would have already been working at the same company, I would have suggested you to stay for couple of years, increase your saving, then move to Canada. But your case is different, you will have to relocate to Saudi first and get settled over there for couple of years only. If you have family, you will have to consider schooling of your children, housing etc. At the end, you will have to discard everything and move to Canada. You children will have to change school and your family will have to adjust from extreme hot to extreme cold weather. Then getting driving license is not straight forward in GCC countries, it cost money and time. At the end, it is your own decision by keeping all above points in your mind.

By the way, you can avail both opportunities together for a period of 3 years max but not more. After that, you will have to move to Canada otherwise you will lose your PR status. This is the current law which is under consideration. If changed, then you will have only 2 years to stay out of Canada.

There is one big decision I need to make for which I need valuable input from you guys. I have just got a tempting job offer from one of the largest companies based in Saudi Arabia. This job is 'once-in-a- lifetime' opportunity. What are my options? Definitely, I would not trade-in PR with this job. What are the landing requirements? Can I make a short trip to Canada or do I need to stay there for some time? Can I, in anyway, avail both these opportunities together?

Many congratulations bro!! Don't wait and agree for the job mate. You will need to land once and apply for PR cards. You can return after one week. Leave your pictures behind in case they require some. You will be fine

My question is:

1) Should applicant send his/her immigration file before Express Entry launches in January 2015?

2) Or it can be sent for processing with in the period of May 1, 2014, to April 30, 2015?

Dear xp4com, Congrats for visa and happy life in Canada.

as many friends are given then suggestion, I thought let me share some thing.

First think what is your requirement. Money? or Good life and your child education. I am sure in Saudi offer you can get only Money. Nothing else!! you can't settle in Saudi
if you are moving from UAE to Saudi, then I am sure you will run out within 1 month if you are a person looking for good life style.
Have you ever been in Saudi?? ask rawdah and others who are in Saudi to understand the life style. It's a jail for your family. they can't walk outside without you, they can't go nearby shop without you... and so on.....so on.... so on.......

So my personnel view, option1: forget the offer go and settle in Canada, if you have enough money. Or
Option2: if you need to save money, you have to scarifies. finish landing formalities get PR card then leave your family in Canada,take your new offer spend some years/month Then you can move. But rules are keep changing...

presently to get citizenship you need to stay 3years out of 4years Or to have valid PR stay 2yeras out of 5years. But already there is some forum info. that instead of 3yrs stay it may change to 4yrs to get citizenship. So expect any change if you want to take a chance
