Agreed that LVO is dealing so many countries so thats why their BACKGROUND CHECKS(SECURITY) takes much time than other offices,but why is the dealy for those whose processing still not strarted, i mean may and june applicant whose second line in e-case not strarted means they have still not initiated their BACKGROUND(SECURITY) CHECKS, so do you think that after starting that background checks(and as we have seen in past applicants for these countries have lenghty background checks) so will it be still possible that they cleared all cases in 1 year deadline?

Every case is different, have their own complexity. For example so far fastest NDVO had almost rap up 80% of the cases. Bhfsw2174 Noc 15 may still dying to see ecase 2nd line or mr where as August September cases are through.

I am as curious as you are. I haven't a clue what is going on. My comment is just an opinion based on the observations of the global spreadsheet.

The only thing I can think of is that BG security checks could be ongoing and LVO is waiting for results before issuing MR, RPRF and PP. Otherwise, it makes no sense to hold applications indefinitely under the guise of "currently under review" without issuing interview call.

so uptill now when they have not completed eligibility review, do you think they will make it possible to finalize cases in one year when still those lenghty security background checks are ahead.

I know it is very difficult to say but that's the fact rather than cursing LVO n Praising NDVO we should be thankful to GOD that out of thousands or probably millions we have been chosen to get pr.
Getting Canadian pr is not our right its our privilege.

They have commited one year based on normal standard operation procedures if some ones bg or security is taking longer time, I will not blame them.

yes every case is different and takes different timeline, but to see the trend of LVO still we are not near to that to say that few applicants are delay as like some applicants of NDVO,here at LVO few MR and interviews,and the rest are waiting

Yes, I think it is possible. It depends on VO's. That could explain the delay in issuing MR or not calling for interview.

before positive eligibility they don't do security checks.....

there are two kind of background checks.... first is before eligibility which is related to documents in the application.... and second one is after eligibility which is related to security clearance from different agencies...... since different agencies do these security checks so CIC do not have any control on that.....

LVO is dealing with lots of high risk countries so thats why security clearance process is long....

The silence is not meaningless. after my medical results were uploaded on ECAS (on Jan 23, 2014) I sent a CSE to LVO regarding further progress, they replied the following in 3 days of my CSE:

"Further to your recent enquiry, please be advised that the background checks for your application are still ongoing and may still take some months to complete. We are unable to advise of a date for completion at this stage. Please rest assured that we will be in contact with further information once the results of the checks have been received."

Very valid step taken by pharmacistfarhan..., and throws a lot of light on current delays from LVO...!!!

LVO was more then NDVO in 2013 aswell....

True..but before second line showing on your ecas, B/G check can surely happen....!!!
