Do you both have the same VO? I was under the impression that normally applicants get an email re MR before ECAS is updated?

Have I got it wrong or are you 2 an exception?

Did you get second line update before getting MR mail or direectly ? Some get SLU and wait a long before MR.

Visa officer also requires to submit Schedule A form he mentioned

Updated Schedule A Background Declaration Form with Personal History (Q8) and addresses (Q12) since the age of 18. Please do not leave any gaps in time. Please submit the updated form by email within 5 days of the date of this email.

There is no attachment of Schedule A form. Can anybody share with me updated Schedule A form. Please guide me how to fill the gaps in personal history and there is limited space to answer these questions how to deal with it.
