I have received email from LVO , at 14:09 Hrs PST today , and they have advised me to submit following with in 60 Days


“This email refers to your application for permanent residence in Canada. In order to continue processing
your application, we require the additional documents listed below

• New IMM0008 application for Permanent Residence Form
  New Schedule A Background/ Declaration forms
  New Additional Family Information forms IMM5406 for yourself and your spouse
  Original police certificates for yourself and your spouse from all countries in which you have each
  resided for 6 months or more since the age of 18
  Updated passport copies for yourself and each family member
  Copies of the long form birth certificates with translations for yourself, your spouse and your daughter
  Updated proof of settlement funds.

Hello Everyone

This is really a very nice place to remain updated about processing progress of Canadian immigration applications and many other related topics. Its my badluck that i came to know about it once i had already filed my application for FSW1 under May 2013 program

My application was received by CIO on 20 Dec 13
DD Enacshed on 17 Jan 13
I received my PER on 11 Feb 13

Now i am waiting for further proceedings.
I made a mistake on generic form of my application by selcting VO as Islamabad. However i came to know lately by this forum that i should have selected LVO. Dont know what will happen to my application in this case. I have sent a case inquiry for the same.
Does anyone knows what happens in case of such mistake. I will be thankful for kind replies.

1) Did the Interview have the original application form in front of him (the one you submitted last year May ) ?
2) Did you take the original application form with you to the interview
3) You said they asked you describe your duties, what were the Interview doing whilst you was describing the duties?
4) How long do you reckon you spent describing the duties 5 min,10min,20, min or more?
5) Did they ask any technical questions ?
6) Did they keep any of your paperwork that you took into the Interview ?
7) Did the interviewer check all the documents that they requested on the Annex 1?
8) Do they ask a lot of questions ?
9) How long do you think roughly the interview lasts ?
10) Can you ask a lot of questions ?
11) Do they ask about your partners details ie education etc etc
12) Did they check all of your children’s birth certificates , iam making a new one as cant find the existing one
13) And how can i help myself in the interview to become a success?

if u have received PER I think by IPSO FACTO rule, ur file would have been sent to london visa office...
u may raise a CSE to london visa office with ur file number to check its presence in london...

Dear All

I hope all is well, i have my interview in a few weeks i would be grateful if you could please help me answer the below questions ?

Not infront of him but on the system he noted what to check and he knows what we've submitted with the org. application

2) Did you take the original application form with you to the interview
If you revived the generic list to bring with you (15 items almost) then its like you are preparing a new file (bring all originals, I mean ALL and Every thing)

3) You said they asked you describe your duties, what were the Interview doing whilst you was describing the duties?
He is listening and he would interrupt and ask about any details, Don't panic it is more like GENERAL CONVERSATION

4) How long do you reckon you spent describing the duties 5 min,10min,20, min or more?
It depends on the interview session

5) Did they ask any technical questions ?
Very high level, means common things from technical aspects, in my case when i mentioned Data Discrepancy he asked me to explain it. So in your case if you mentioned any technical term you would/should be able to explain it.

6) Did they keep any of your paperwork that you took into the Interview ?
Not in my case, I've been given all papers back including PCC

7) Did the interviewer check all the documents that they requested on the Annex 1?
In my case he checked everything and you should be prepared for the same

8) Do they ask a lot of questions ?
Only about your case, career, education, documents, file .... etc.

9) How long do you think roughly the interview lasts ?
From 30 to 60 min.

10) Can you ask a lot of questions ?
No, you should only be very focused and prepared to answer NOT to ask. when he tells you that IT IS POSITIVE then the interview becomes a free conversation where you can ask ONE OR TWO questions maximum if you cannot find answers here in the forum

11) Do they ask about your partners details ie education etc etc
Yes, they check spouse education docs and PCC and they would ask for marriage certificate and Birth Certificate if they've concern about (not in my case)

12) Did they check all of your children's birth certificates , iam making a new one as cant find the existing one
Bring everything with you, Original copies, if you can't find go and issue new ones.

13) And how can i help myself in the interview to become a success?
KNOW everything about your file, arrange documents in the order they requested, use protected, transparent plastic file. Make two files one is the primary with all docs they requested and another as portfoilo. KNOW everything about your projects, achievements and job duties of reference letters which you've issued.

Hi,

Need not to worry. It's mentioned in CIC manual that in such scenario's if the application has been transferred to wrong VO as declared by the applicant (Islamabad) in your case. Islamabad Vo will transfer your file to LVO.

You might face some delays within your processing but not the rejection.
