London Office?... Sponsorship/Permanent Residence applications ok'd in Toronto.

Hi everyone...

My wife and four-year-old daughter are both Canadian and currently
living at our home in Toronto.

I am currently back in Belfast, Northern Ireland.

My wife's sponsorship application and my permanent residence
application were submitted to the Mississauga processing centre on
the 8th December 2008.

They were approved (we were told in a letter that both applications
met the 'minimum requirements') and forwarded to London (England)
on the 11th February 2009.

Police checks/medicals etc. - all complete and supplied.

Can anyone give me a clue as to what else I might expect from
London given that everything seems to be ok (according to Mississauga)?

Will I have to go to London for an interview?

What else might they ask me?

etc. etc. etc....

24th February. It says on the website: Sponsorship - Decision Made. Permanent Residence - Unavailable.

I want to go visit them in Toronto for a month or two while I'm waiting but don't know if it against the 'rules'....

Thanks for ANY feedback.

1. 3-9 months processing in London, if there are no concerns re: criminality, bona fides of the relationship, then probably no interview.
2. Go for a visit, but if asked state that there is a PR application in progress, make sure you have a return ticket.

Thanks for the response.

Why make sure I have a return ticket?

I don't know long I might want to stay...1/2/3/4 months?

1/2/3 weeks(?) if they need me to come back for an interview or something...

Because CBSA may decide with a PR application in progress, 1 way ticket (if the airline allows you to board) that you intention is not to visit, but to remain permanently. You may get an officer who sticks to the rules, and refuses admission.
