Hello, I want to ask you about LMIA. After my employer received positive LMIA, I applied for work permit through a consultant. After 7 months I called for an interview in February 10, 2020. They told me that they will assess my case and make their decision in 2 weeks but it's September now haven't received any response.

It's MCR broadcast technician. Are you a foreign worker or perminant residence holder?

Am a citizen. It isn’t a job in demand which is a priority so CIC is likely reassessing given the new Canadian unemployment figures.

Okay, if they have to reject does they still take this much of time ?
There is a pandemic. The government is having to prioritize certain types of applications and reassess given the changing conditions around the world.

Do you know processing time? How many months or years they take to make their decision
It won't take years. But it can take many months. Unfortunately it's very hard to guess right now due to COVID-19.
