I have an LMIA (GTS, with 3 years duration). I've started my work permit application about 3 months ago and I'm still waiting for the result (my application is in progress).
My passport, however, will be expired in about 5 months. What should I do now? If my visa will be issued, will it be expire in 5 months?
1) Should I renew my passport now? If yes, how can I update my application with the new passport? There is no where to update my application.
2) Should I wait for my visa? If yes, what will happen if the visa issue date will be close to the passport expiry date?
3) What happens if I renew my passport and my POE letter came during the renewal process?
I confused. I do appreciate your helps in advance.
