Hi All,
I have an active EE profile ( i am inland ), my employer provide me with a valid job offer for one year, and he apply for LMIA Exemption under C50 .
I have the exemption number , but didn't receive yet the LMIA certificate . I am still waiting to the IRCC decision .
should i update my EE profile with the job offer and the Exemption number ?
Does LMIA Exemption under C50 adding points to the total score of my EE SCR?

What kind of work permit are you on right now? Open work permit? Closed work permit?

You can only claim the 50 points under an OWP with an approved LMIA.

If you want to claim the 50 points, you have two options:
- Have your employer get an approved LMIA. As soon as the LMIA is approved, you can claim the 50 points.
- Switch to a closed work permit under the LMIA exemption and work for your employer under the closed work permit for a year. Once you have a year on the closed work permit, you will qualify for the 50 points.
