I wanted to ask, how will i know if my job qualifies under the LMIA program? I have been employed with a bank in Canada for the past one year as a credit adjudicator. just wanted to understand if i qualify for the points under LMIA or not. Let me know!

According to your earlier post - you hold a post graduate work permit. So no - your job does not qualify under the LMIA program (since you got your work permit without having to get an LMIA).

So despite having a current job, and knowing I am going to be with the same employer I wont qualify for the 600 points under LMIA. I just want to understand it correctly. Thanks !

You would only get the 600 points if you had an LMIA.

You don't have an LMIA - so no 600 points. It doesn't matter that you currently have a job. You need the LMIA.

:-X :-X ::) ???
How about applying for a LMIA when having a full time job? How to be qualified for it? Is there a requirement of a wage according to job title (NOC)?
It is said that really hard to get the approval for the LMIA? Any idea about the steps and processes and opportunity? Seniors and experienced pls help!
Thank you very much!

Just look on the Government website or do google Search and you will find all the instructions. Basic point is the employer must advertise for at least 4 weeks and continue to advertise for local applicants until the LMIA is approved. Employer must prove he cannot find any local PR or Canadian citizen who meets the requirments, then it gets into lots of things about the employer and wages must be at or above median wage rate for that region and NOC. So if you are on a PGWP you would take a chance that you could lose your job once it was advertised for the purpose of getting LMIA.

If you've been working in Canada for a year in NOC 0 A or B you would likely be eligible for CEC. Do you know how many points you have under EE?
