Hello everyone
I applied for a LMIA close work permit NOC 72600 on 17th July 2024. On 20th December 2024 I got a refusal letter. IRCC said that I did not prove that I had the skills and knowledge for the job I was offered. There were important documents that my immigration consultant in Canada did not submit in the application. Such as Bank account statements, work certificates, identity cards from previous employers. A new application was made on 17th April 2025 correcting the deficiencies of the previous application. The processing time is 8weeks for applications from Nigeria. I am in my 18th week but nothing yet. My immigration consultant made inquires on the status of my application from IRCC (likely through web form). Below is the response we got from them
"Good day,
In response to your email enquiry below, kindly note that this application is still under active review by our office. At the moment, we are not in a position to give a clear indication of when we anticipate finalizing this application.
However, we wish to inform you that our office is doing the necessary to ensure that this application is processed and finalised within the shortest timeframe possible.
