Hi, has anyone changed their mind after receiving the LMIA? We have not got the work permit but now because of health issues, want to change minds and get Super Visa. Will We have any issues? Has anyone done this? Does it raise any red flags? We think it was unnamed LMIA

So your children are PR or citizen and meet LICO? If you have health issues will you pass the medical and you will purchase health insurance.

Would also read supervisa insurance terms very carefully because pre-existing conditions may not be covered so you’d have to pay out of pocket for care in Canada. Supervisa insurance is really only emergency medical insurance. Pre-existing conditions may not qualify for coverage if emergencies occur related to the condition depending on how recently they received treatment for the specific health issue.

Just withdraw the WP if they no longer want to try and work in Canada. If near retirement age it would have been difficult to get approved for WP to begin with. There may be concerns that your parents were trying to move to Canada given their application for a WP while they are only entitled to visit on a supervisa.
