I'm here on LMIA closed work permit for 21 months. And now my company is closing down. please what is my hope? Am I qualify for an open work permit? If yes, under which program should I apply for an open work permit. I need your help, it's urgent.

Hey, my PGWP expires in March 2026. But I have an ongoing Non-Express Entry PR application since Feb 2024 because of the comprehensive background check we are still waiting for, and my SINP is based on employer (employer restricted), so I am eligible to apply closed work permit. My questions are:
1. When should I start a process? When should I ask my employer to apply IRCC employer portal to get a support letter? Usually, how long does it take?
2. Should I apply for an employer-specific work permit?
If you have a similar experience, please shed some light. Any input highly appreciated.
