If your home country revokes your passport while you are living on Permanent Residency (PR) in another country, you can continue living on your PR status, but you will likely need to apply for a Permanent Resident Travel Document (PRTD) from your country of PR to travel internationally. You may also need to prove your identity and status through other official documents and may have to take steps to re-establish your ability to travel, such as through your country's own consulate.

Hello @abradabra, Can I please know what happened with your citizenship application?

So, I am a PR and also applied for Citizenship while 498A case is in progress in India. While applying for citizenship, even I thought that these are still allegations and I will be charged when I go in person to India for investigation/trial. But now my application is stuck for clearance. The GCMS doesn't clearly say because of that, but I am assuming so.

Now I'm stuck as my PR is up for renewal and Canadian citizenship is not granted yet. what should I do?
Will my PR renewal also be a problem because of this fake case.
Experts please help, I'm really stressed. @mandy1991 @arturbeterbiev03 could you also please share your experiences.

I am thinking to consult a lawyer but would also like to see how others have solved this situation.
Hi, my estranged wife hasn't filed any cases yet, but it feels like sooner or later she's gonna do it.

Wondering if you got any updates yet on your citizenship application. When did you apply? And have you cosulted a lawyer yet.
