Living in Alberta - should I re-enter canada for work permit

I live in Edmonton and my prospective employer will be applying LMO for my position.

Once I have a positive LMO, should I be re-entering Canada (leave and re-enter at the port of entry, which would be in Montana) for my work permit. I am from Korea and have travel visa exemption.
