Hi, dear, I have a question because I have got my 1st comfirmation too, and waiting for the next stage, could you tell me if the family members at home country get the letter of medical and background checks first, or we get interview letter first? Have your family members got the letter from immigration? If yes, how long did they get it after you got your 1st comfirmation? Thanks very much for your reply.

1. LC2 gets application kit
2. LC2 submits application kit
3. CEM sends AOR and starts background/security checks
4. CEM sends medical requests to LC2
5. CEM informs CPC completion of background/medical checks of LC2
6. CPC sends landing interview sched to LC1 and payment of PR
7. CPC informs CEM LC1 is PR already
8. CEM sends PPR to LC2
9. CEM stamps visa LC2 PP

After AIP of LC1, just send email by LC1 to CEM requesting for LC2 application kit.

Hi, boyblue, thank you so much for your kind reply, however, I didn't get it because I have no idea about all of abbreviations, could you please let me know the full name of " LC1, LC2, CEM, AOR, CPC, DM, AIP, PP, PPR ", etc, also, who receives the application kit? CEM is Canada Embassy Manila
AOR is Acknowledgement of Receipt from the embassy
CPC is Case Processing Center in Vegreville Canada
DM is Decision Made by CPC

PP is Passport
PPR is Passport Request by embassy

If so, you recommend me to email the CEM to ask the application kit for my LC2 now, right? If yes, I will do it on Monday. One more question: When you emailed to CEM to ask your application kit, did they respond you about how long your LC2 would receive it? or CEM just sent the kit to your LC2 directly without any response? If you recvd CPC letter saying you meet eligibility requirements for permanent residence application then this is the approval in principle (AIP). You can then compose an email to CEM requesting application kit for your LC2 indicating on your email the complete full name, address, landline, cellfon, email address of your LC2. Include also your full name, canada address, landline and cellfon and your client id. CEM will either email you back with the kit and tell you to forward the kit to your LC2 or directly send the app kit to your LC2, which email add you have given to them. In a few days or couple of weeks LC1 or LC2 will receive CEM email app kit.

All the above is applicable if LC2 is a filipino national, hence CEM handles the processing. Is your LC2 pinoy? If not, I do not know the procedures on other countries.

I do not know about the 1st confirmation that you said you received. It is starting to confuse me. I assume you are presently working as a live-in caregiver in canada, that you filed your live-in caregiver permanent residence application last 2011, that just recently you received approval in principle and decision made in your e-cas, that now you are awaiting the application kit of your LC2 from CEM.

no AOR yet, submitted app kit may 9,2013. we are in for the long haul, CEM saying LC2 current processing time is 2 years after receiving application kit. i think i will hibernate now, wake me up when things are picking up ;D

when you receive your email AOR from CEM for the app kit you submitted, CEM includes the advise that LC2 current processing time is 24 months after they receive the kit

kindly revert to my previous posts. Friends of my LC1 who earlier received their email AOR have accompanying advise that LC2 processing time is 24 months from CEM.
