Can someone who was on live in caregiver program work permit who is now a permanent resident continue to be a live-in caregiver? If yes, is the employer still required to pay according to the contract (and pay the taxes on caregivers behalf to the CRA) or can the employer pay a fixed amount and the caregiver will now be responsible in remitting tax payment?

I am under Licp and now a permanent resident. I am still working for the same employer. In my case i have 2 employers, the first one deducts all the deductions like tax, CPP and EI. The second one they just pay me the gross amount and i just computed all the income i received from the second emoloyer at the end of the year and declare it as OTHER INcome when i filed my tax. You have to sign a specific CRA form and indicate that you have more than 1 employer ( if you have 2 jobs or 2 employers). Better asked those guys that prepare the taxes for your specific case as they are more familiar with regards to proper filling of taxes.
