My lawyer just informed me this week that she received a letter from the Canadian High Commission in London. The letter is dated August 21, but she is claiming that she just got it this week. Pretty unbelievable to me. So my question is, does the High Commission send letter by regular mail? Aside from asking my lawyer to show me the envelope it was mailed in (as it would have the date it was posted, i doubt she would have it tho or show it to me if she did), is there any way I can find out how this very important letter seemed to get 'lost' in the mail until now?

Thanks!

It is possible. The UK has has sporadic postal strikes for months. It is due to get worse with a national strike. Whether London send by regular, recorded or special delivery it will be carried via Royal Mail. Royal Mail have huge problems. I would suggest you provide CHC with an e-mail address.

he he he... love these questions missing critical details. From the CHC-London TO WHERE????? It could be Bangladesh for all we know, and then that would be a speedy delivery!

BTW, I have mail go missing all the time between the USA and Canada (I'm in Canada).
