Do you know MP personally and MP know your family? Is MP a Minister and a Liberal? All depends but VOs most likely don’t read too much into a LOS unless it is a personal friend.

Well if writing as a friend, MP would say that he/she has known you for xx of years and something about you personally. As a constituent, MP doesn’t know you or can vouch that your family will not overstay etc.
