Ive met a fellow filipina in a landed Interview for PR last Feb 17, 2014 and she's a Feb 2013 applicant, single. She also had her landed PR on that day here in edmonton.

Aip: march 14,2014

Guys updAte ko lang timeline ko. Got my 2nd approval today. Waiting na lng for interview and payment.

Hi guys. I received an email today regarding medical instruction for my PR application. I have 60 days to do it, i am just confused since I know that medical is not a requirement for LCP PR applicant. anyone had the same feedback from CIC? :'(


timeline:
May 2013 submitted pr/owp application
August 2013 received Open work permit
March 25 2014 received instruction for medical

my ECAS is still Application Received as of today march 25 2014

Hi guys! I applied from the Philippines. I submitted my pr and owp appication May 16 2013, cic received it May 21 2013. MY owp was issued August 2013.

I just spoke with a cic call center agent, all she was able to verify is that I did not receive the medical request by mistake and that the call center has no information as to why I am being asked to undergo a medical for my PR application. She also said that medical requirements are not mandatory anymore for LCP PR applicant but in some cases the immigration officer might ask for it.

If there is anyone here who was asked for the same thing, kindly let me know your story..

hmmm i read some thread on fb yes some are do required to have medical exam actually i read a lots ... and yes you have nothing to do but to comply bec that is what the immigrations officer asking you to process your papers .. they said its case to case basis and some said it is random thingy ... i know its quite expensive around 200 -300 dollars ... jeezzz but just follow them bec we have nothing to do but to obey their instructions.

hi @tedabi, you said you did not yet received your AIP but how come they are already asking you to undergo medical? I'm a little bit confuse. By the way, thanks again for sharing the info.

Hi! Yup, no AIP yet. My medical results are probably needed before they send me an aip. And yes, it is 300$. I read today in the cic website two scenarios what the immigration officer will do with regards to medical requirements. 1st, if they found the initial medical results including the physician's remarks from the country of origin are enough, then they will not require a medical done in canada. 2nd is the opposite, if they are not convinced with the results, they might require another one done.

Me, I m a May 2013 applicant, and already received my AIP last March 14,2014, and single applicant too.
