I was finally able to speak to a CIC call center agent( honestly, it's almost easier to get to speak to the president than it is to an agent) and was told that the requirememt doesn't apply to us applicants whose dependents are overseas. I am only required to bring my own documents . Thank GOD!

I just want to share that my LC2 got their visa last thursday. I got my landed April 16 so it took 7 weeks. Visa expired on July 2 so i have to fly rush there....flight is so expensive but its worth it all the best to everybody

just an update... got a letter from CPC vegreville today June 6, 2015 went straight to my junk mail informing me that my application has been completed..

As far as I can remember, your dependent has his medical June last year. did Cic request for a reassessment or remedical?

If not, well , i am really becoming hopeful again...

so far wala pa namn. Confirmation letter pa lang namn na receive ko na complete na yung process.. NO PPR and no re medical yet.. I guess I'll find out next week.. My ecas status is still on process

its a $150 for open work permit I guess but better off go online and check the fee of what are your trying to pay for its all in there.

hi everyone!!

I am thinking of phoning CIC tomorrow since I received confirmation letter first that my application process has been completed. Is that normal or I should get PPR first?? I went back to the thread in this forum most member who had landed got PPR letter first.

its a $150 for open work permit I guess but better off go online and check the fee of what are your trying to pay for its all in there.

Yes I know it's all in there. Previously, there was no such thing as Open Permit Holder's fee, you only have to pay $155 for open work permit application. With this new fee, that would be $100 + $155 for OWP application. Some people say you have to pay for the open permit holder's fee now, some said this is not applicable to live-in caregivers applying for OWP/PR.

no PPR for my dependent and with me i have to bring my passport on the day of the interview.. NO remedical for my dependent too

Everything went well at the interview and I got my confirmation of permanent Residence. I'm told that visa will be issued to my dependent living overseas ,by my country's home office(they can't say how long it will take). And PR card ,they said, should come in 6-8weeks.

I am happy beyond words!. Strawberry, you are next!

Congratulations Julsen,I remember that we had same time got AIP,you were very lucky that your son got MR after a while, for me , still waiting MR from CIC China Office,.I've been very drepressed and upset about the whole situation, I called CIC and send Email to them, no response, I have no idea
It will takes how long for next step.However, I am really happy for you, your son will come very soon!
