Hey.

I have a question.
My name on my foreign passport is different from my immigration papers (PR records).

Which one is considered my legal name and when do I use them?

I'm applying for services in Canada. I'm not sure if this affects my status abroad by having two different names (university degree, PR records, passport.. etc)

Thank you,

The name in the PR records will be legal name. You use it when applying for a BC services card, driver license, etc.

Could have issues when trying to board a plane if the name on your PR card is different from the name on your passport/ticket.

No problem if domestic flight.
