I heard Beirut is giving priority of Syrian applicants because of the unrest in Syria while Lebanese applicants are being put on hold...is this true???

mmm I don't know if this is true (now)...
But usually when a country fell down into a war ... yes the priority of immigration move to people belongs to that country ..
It happens with my friend when the last war of lebanon happened (2006), he got his immigration with his parents in 6 months only, without an interview or anything else, just medicals and now they are in Montreal : ;D

Wow 6 months!! Well hopefully they are working on all files and not giving priority to certain files because some of us have been waiting almost 3 years for this whole process!!

i applied in april 2009, started the federal part in january 2010 and after 24 month before my file moves to beirut embassy i got the medicals request. medicals submitted in march 2012 and now still waiting. i went to the embassy in beirut and they said the only way to communicate with us is through email and they are currently dealing with huge load of applications. hope i will get my visa soon. let's keep in touch

its within a year as medical expires in 1 year

so you get your visa within 1 year from your medical.

@ bilal83 ... Man I think there are other pages/forums hold many 2006 applicants, and of course you can join them and share your afraid, experience and thoughts ... But in my opinion, and following the latest rules and splitting applicants in two categories .. Before 2008 and after .. Sorry man but in your case as I read they are returning many applications, and I watched on YouTube an immigration councilor who said that in your case the time can range between 5-6 or 7 years to get this (that if they didn't return the application ) .. Anw immigration lawyers they are fighting for you now in courts, and you can join and fill an application with Mr.David Cohen as I read also in the monthly immigration newspaper .. So good luck and hope this will help.

@ winni ... I know that one year ago+ started the problems in Syria which delay all our applications, and leave the embassy with a huge mess including some errors with their online servers, where many applicants couldn't check their status for many days ... But after a while the problem has been solved ...
This is strange in your condition that after one year you couldn't yet check ur status online ... But in my opinion who cares, @ least and the more important that you got the AOR + number, your ecase if it was existing will remain IN PROCESS until you get the visa, it will never change ... SO I don't think this is a problem ;D .. gd luck.

the documents has been received to ( Ministere de l'immigration et des communautes,Montreal ) but till now i didnt get any answer

about my file nbr !!!

so i wanna contact them thru mail thats why i wish if anyone got the contact mail on which i should send to get informations........
