Leaving Canada while visitor visa in processing

Hi,

Can someone please let me know if I can leave Canada while visitor visa is in processing and get stamping done from outside Canada? I am in Canada on a work permit and I recently applied for visitor visa from inside Canada, but I have to travel internationally on an urgent basis. Any clarification will be appreciated.

Yes you can ask for stamping to be done abroad after approved but the process will take longer.

can you let me know how long it can take for stamping abroad? Since only stamping will be done abroad. But the approval should be quick since I applied from within Canada which has a timeline of 15 days currently for processing. I complete 15 days processing time today.

15 days is only an estimate age and estimates are often wrong. I have seen TRVs take much longer. There is no set amount of time when it comes to stamping abroad but it will certainly help if you’ve been approved already.
