I have been waiting to restore my status and new work permit for 3 months and have family emergency now and have to leave Canada. I understand my application will be voided.
I will be back in 2 weeks and apply for WP on the port of entry in the airport.
My work permit is with LMIA from my employer.
has anyone done that or know of officers look down if I left before my Restoration of status was approved?
Any other red flags?
My country is allowed to come to Canada with ETA. I was also wondering in case they would reject my Work permit application at the port of entry would they allow me to enter the country with ETA as tourist? I would need to gather my things and end lease contract for apartment.
