Hi all,

We will be applying for citizenship soon as a group. I had added my wife post AOR after getting married so she did not require IELTS or ECA to accompany me to Canada.

Where it asks for language proof as part of the citizenship application and since my wife does not have any test results such as IELTS or CELPIP, she did however complete her diploma in Advanced Esthetics from a college in Mississauga and it was a 1 year long program.

My question is can we submit a copy of the diploma as proof of language proficiency as the language of instruction was English. According to the below link, it seems that it is allowed but just want to double check with an expert or moderator.

https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/canadian-citizenship/become-canadian-citizen/eligibility/language-proof.html

Thank you for the help.

Hi,
I have applied for citizenship with my diploma. That should be more than enough proof of language as long as it is furnished by a Canadian institution (secondary and up)
