I'm not sure under what program you obtained your visa but from my research the IT industry seems to be growing a lot more in Montreal, Quebec. A number of IT professionals have actually obtained work permits (not PR) following job offers from employers there. The province is home to a number of IT firms and related industries like aerospace. You may need to do some research though on your eligibility to work in quebec if you did not obtain your PR through the province's selection program. I think Alberta is another good place to look - the economy there is in much better shape compared to the other provinces.
