Dear experts

I am eager to know the landing requirements of my spouse who recently got spousal sponsorship VISA. Does she need to show any fund requirement at the port??? Please note, I will go back to my country to bring my spouse so what amount of fund we should have at the port?

Another thing is that I reside at montreal and my spouse got her spousal sponsorship PR visa through quebec selection certificate. Now is this mendatory that she needs to land at Quebec port?

There is no proof of funds required at landing for a sponsored spouse.

Your spouse is not required to land in Quebec. She can land anywhere in Canada.

All you need is your (her) CoPR and passport. Land at your first port of entry to Canada (does not have to be in QC). Tell them you are landing to declare PR.

Your first stop will be an agent who will process her CoPR and ask a couple of simple questions. They will want a Canadian residential address to send the PR Card to (that will take 3 months or so).

Next will be a CBSA agent who will process your goods accompanying and goods to follow forms. That's it.

Next stop, Tim Hortons for coffee and donuts!
