Landing question

I received my COPR 2 weeks ago and it expires end of March 2017. I plan on moving at the end of February. My questions is: I am going to Calgary for X-mas holidays with my husband. Can I "land" during this time and then return to the states until February? I am only going to be on vacation for 10 days but thought maybe this way I can get my SIN# and enroll in healthcare and my PR card should be arriving by the time I move in February.

Is this legal? I don't want to lie or anything.

Yes, you can land on your holiday.

You can get your SIN but you cannot register for healthcare until you actually come to Canada to reside.
