Landing Query

Hi All

I have got my COPR/PPR and have until 10 FEB 2018 to travel to Canada.

I am planning to go Canada for 2 weeks with the family towards the end of this month and then come back to UK to tie up the loose ends and plan the final move for Jan 2018 . My question is will i get asked by CAN IMM why i am not moving straight away when i go in Sept for a short holiday as i will be travelling on my new PR visa and if i go end of this month does the deadline date of 10 Feb 2018 still apply or does this get extended?

Once you finish the landing you're free to leave the country as soon as you'd like, the deadline is irrelevant after landing.

Has anyone//you been questioned upon landing? Any obvious things that i need to be wary of?

If you're questioned about it just say you're doing a soft landing and you'll move permanently next year. That's all you need to say.

No. The officers understand that it takes time for the applicant to be able to move to another country permanently.
