Landing next month in Vancouver

I will be landing in Vancouver next month. Need enlightenment from seniors on following:

Where to stay immediately after landing-- Which Hotel/ Motel etc.

What are the most essential items to be carried

My baby is 6 months old. What clothes to carry for him.

Passport, COPR and money are some of the essential items to be carried. Bring summer clothing although you can bought them (including the baby) in local stores such as Winners, Zellers (Target) and Sears.
