Hello,

I am PNP Saskatchewan currently awaiting for my COPR from Singapore office. My question is can I take a flight that transits through Quebec(Montreal) since there is no direct flight from my city to Regina or Saskatoon ? My plan is to do my landing in September and take a flight from Kuala lumpur to Regina while transiting through Montreal.

Would there be an issue with my landing ? I would appreciate if comments are supported by evidence or personal experience.

Thank you in advance.

Congratulations for Canada move.
There will be no problem at any Port of Entry in Canada. Would suggest to avoid any stay during your arrival. layover of few hours is fine and no problem. Staying may invite any undue problem in future.

Hi Mumbai5,

Thanks for your prompt reply , I am planning to layover for 1 day or 2 days then head to Regina , is that okay .

because as you know flight duration is too long and I need a rest after long flight specially when there is 2 hours process at least at the airport for landing.

I do not have concrete evidence or personally heard from anyone but read in same forum about cases where people took layover at Toronto / Calgary / Montreal and were later questioned about intentions to really settle in nominated province whilst taking the connecting flights.
Hence suggesting.
