So do I have to list all my items individually, or I can batch them, e.g.

Clothes

Shoes

Wrist watches

Belts

and so on,,,,

How many copies do I need to travel with.

I am assuming I can put a fair value on all these items an total at the end...

Thanks for your kind help
You can batch them generally. Yes, put estimated value of each item and make a total in the end (in CAD)
Two (2) copies of a detailed list of all the personal or household items you are bringing with you
Two (2) copies of a list of items that are arriving later and their money value

Thanks dear... One more question, since I am doing a short landing, still I should / need to fill the form for accompanying goods or can I just fill form for goods to follow ? Will immigration officer ask me questions ?

And pls advise if below link is the correct b4a ?

http://www.cbsa-asfc.gc.ca/publications/forms-formulaires/b4a.pdf

And below is b4 form ?

http://www.cbsa-asfc.gc.ca/publications/forms-formulaires/b4-eng.pdf
Yes. Form links are correct. You will need to give both lists at the time of landing process. You can only bring items which are CURRENTLY in your possession. Anything you buy AFTER landing and which is not in the list, will not be accepted by CBSA at a later stage. This list is NOT mandatory. So, you don't have to worry.

Kindly go through this thread and various other threads. This issue have been extensively discussed. You will also need to use search feature in order to find the kind of questions you'd be asked.

Hi all,

I've received my CoPR a few weeks ago and now I'm planning my landing in Canada. The most suitable timing for the flight due to my personal schedule and the availability of economic flights is June 30th, but I have a concern as my travel will then be coinciding with Canada Day (July 1st), a national holiday.

It will be a late flight so there is a probability we land exactly on July 1st. My question is, do you think this timing will be a problem in terms of immigration procedures at the airport? I haven't seen anywhere a note saying you cannot land on national holidays but still I have a concern that there may be fewer staff, longer queues, banks being closed etc.

I don't have a clue how national holidays and the next few days following them are like in Canada so any advice will be much appreciated. I will soon need to book my flight.

Thanx!

Borders are not closed on Canada Day. Therefore, there will always be border staff and immigration desks conducting immigration checks. I don't think any airport in the whole world would shut down because it's their national day.

In terms of 'Border Rush', since it's a holiday, there would be high number of passenger traffic. You can always track 'wait times' at CATSA's Current Wait Times website.

Your landing procedure got nothing to do with banks. You can always go on Monday 4th July 2016 (since July 1 is Friday, so will be a long weekend).

Hi,

I received my COPR and VISA last September and was planning to do a short landing in May, but only yesterday my wife had the positive pregnancy test and therefore i have to delay my landing till July as doctor is not allowing her to take a long flight. I need to know some question:

1) If we travel in July and came back to my country of residence(KSA) and get the PR, and later on birth of the baby take place here in KSA, can he/she get the my PR later. What is the procedure for that?

2) Do i need to inform about my wife pregnancy to the Visa office now or i can inform them once i land in July

3) My visa will expires in August, can i ask the visa officer to extend the visa till the birth of my baby, expected in December. Will the visa office extend it?

Please advice.

Thanks.

Let me start from the last question, Visa office will not extend the visa.
I will advice you land with your wife before expiration of the visa.
Once you have your PR card you can fly back to your country but your wife must return to Canada before she give birth to avoid any stories.

Congrats on such great news.

1) First PR card will take 1-3 months to arrive. PR cards can only be delivered at Canadian addresses. If your child is born in Canada, that child would be entitlted for 'Citizenship by Birth'. Landing visas cannot be extended.

2) There is no need to inform about pregnancy unless until a baby is born

3) If you do not intend to fly in August, your landing visas will not be extended and your file will be re-assessed before re-issuance of visas.

If I were you, I would land as soon as possible and make sure my child is born inside Canada. For the 1st three months of landing, your wife would need to pay for private insurance before medicals are covered.

The following threads may help

Spouse Pregnant, CORP/VISA received but doctor is not allowing my wife to travel

Thanks for your reply, it is really helpful.

My plan is to do the short landing in July and come back to KSA. Doctor confirms that my wife can travel in July.

But due to some personal issues me and my wife cannot go back to Canada for delivery of the baby. I will permanently move to Canada by the end of 2017.

Hopefully once i get my PR card, the newborn can also get the PR. Please advice.

Thanks once again

I completed my landing formalities 6 months back.
However I have my PR card with me and planning to travel back next month.

Can I go back straight away with my PR card and should I have to show proof of funds again to enter canada?

Your plan is not a good idea as it can take extended times to sponsor your child even though you are a PR holder. The wisest thing to do is travel now with your wife and have the child in Canada. This is the best and smartest course of action as you have been told repeatedly by others on this forum. You can travel and land with your wife with your current visas then leave her in Canada with your family/friends to have the baby while you return if you must hurry back to your country so soon.

If you have your friends and family here in Canada, they can courier you your PR card. But I would advice not to overcomplicate your child's immigration status.

You can go straight away with your PR card.

The only thing that will get checked is your residency requirements.

Plus, you must also declare whatever you are bringing.

If your baby is born outside Canada, he/she does not become a PR by default. You will need a KSA passport for the baby and then need to sponsor a PR visa for the baby which might take over a year. Not a good idea at all.

And during the process, if you are the sponsor, you must be living in Canada.
