So does that mean as soon as I land in toronto then I apply for my PR card at the airport and can leave within a week.
I do have my cousins in toronto and can get the card delivered to their address in toronto.
but as on the COPR it says destination as Calgary but if I mention the toronto address for Card delivery would that be a problem as I read somewhere the officer asked a person that as his destination on his COPR is alberta then he will have to give Alberta Address for the Card Delivery.
thanks
Abhishek

You may try searching on Kijiji. It's an advertisement website. In my opinion they have the best offers of various types of housing in Toronto. But you must be prepared to call the landlords. Not everyone accepts emails. Some of them require references from previous landlords, some require credit history or proof of employment, so you must pick and choose and try to find someone who is willing to rent without any conditions. Sometimes the landlords may require payment of the first and the last rent. You must also remember that there are parts of Toronto with criminal activity going on. These are not safe and you should stay away from those.fsw2014 batch said:any advice on apartment searches? My spouse and i are landing in Toronto in May. Any tips on short or long term housing? Thanks!
You can search online on Kijiji.ca or even take help of an agent. Real estate agents do not charge you anything. They get commission from the landlord.fsw2014 batch said:any advice on apartment searches? My spouse and i are landing in Toronto in May. Any tips on short or long term housing? Thanks!
The status never changes to "PR card in process". After a few weeks, it will simply show that you landed on so and so date on so and so airport and became permanent resident. thats all.zyy36912 said:Hi Guy,
I've landed last Friday on March 11th. My online status still shows Decision made, it's been like this even before I receive my CORP....I tried to enter my case online using my permanent resident confirmation number, which is on the COPR, but can't log in?? Can anyone please advise? When did your online status change??? Will the status show your PR card is in process? thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Where do i get contact info of real estate agent?alok4best said:You can search online on Kijiji.ca or even take help of an agent. Real estate agents do not charge you anything. They get commission from the landlord.
Either from website such as craiglist or Kijiji.ca and from magazine or newspaper. If you are in town, you can also check out their shops.takhan said:Where do i get contact info of real estate agent?
I am out of Canada right now.How to get their number?steaky said:Either from website such as craiglist or Kijiji.ca and from magazine or newspaper. If you are in town, you can also check out their shops.
I do not think it makes so much sense hunting for homes before you arrive. Most landlords or agents you contact will ask to meet so that they can take you for a viewing. Once you are here, you will be able to find many real estate agent offices in and around wherever you are.takhan said:I am out of Canada right now.How to get their number?
