'Canada has strict anti-piracy laws. Ppl get caught all the time & then the music follows. I'd advise anyone not to try importing illegally downloaded SWs/contents.

However, it's practically impossible for IOs to sift thru everyone's baggage/laptops/mobiles/HDDs/SSDs... so, unless u were tipped-off I don't think they'd know. But why take the risk?'

Captain Qorax has explained it very clearly, hope this helps you.

Hi art this Smone reply me on other thread

Hi, waesta,

Changing name is not a problem specially in Canada, if you are landing in Ontario then follow the link below, (if landing other province, then check that province's official website for details)

http://www.ontario.ca/en/information_bundle/individuals/119596.html

hope that helps,

Thank you hmisabpk, this is really helpful. I will state this request immediately on landing so that the PR card can come out with the new names and subsequently everything else. i hope there is no risk in doing this at landing point.

Hi, please we need a decent 2BR / 3BR apartment for rent. I prefer a good location that's very close to Elementary School, Bust Stop, Shopping Mall, etc in Scarborough Area of Toronto. A low-rise will be preferable, and that is inclusive of hydro, onsite-laundry, electricity. I can get my own cable + Internet. If you know a good and reputable Agent/Realtor you may equally give me the contact. Thanks and God bless.

Salut!!!! Captain.... awfully informative!!!

Hi Friends,
Can someone share their experience with Nigerian customs at the Lagos International Airport, while trying to carry their Canada landing funds over $26000 out of Nigeria. Since it is above the $5000 limits.
Did anyone get harrased, is their any fine.
Please share your experience.

Regards

hi, Qorax

Would you please advice? I got PPR from Seattle CIC on 02AUG12 Thursday, in the passport request letter i saw that I have to inform the office if my spouse is pregnant. My wife is pregnant for 5 months now, and we will must landing before the baby is born.

We are already inside Canada as Student and Worker for 4 years. Do you think we need to send Seattle Email to inform my wife's pregnancy? Will this delay our PR visa stamp? What if I don't send Email to inform the office now and go to landing directly in the US border entry?

Thank you very much for your kindly reply.

If u 'land' before the delivery, and u can 'take her' to the Border Post for flagpolling - u don't need to inform anything.

Hello,

I have heard that the photos used for the PR card application at the time of landing are those attached on the COPR, and that they will not ask for new photos, correct?
They have not asked me to send new photos with PPR

I have received our COPR for 3 persons, myself, my wife and my 1 year old child.... the photos attached to the COPR were the ones sent at the time of the initial application (my child's photo taken when he was 1 week old, now its more than a year)... so when we do our landing, if they are going to use same photos attached to the COPR for the PR cards , then they will not be according to their specifications (as photos are older than 12 months and my child has changed sine then), our photos also have march 2011 written on the back.

So can i give them new photos in the airport at the time of landing according to their specifications, would they accept them.

Thank you

Hi, Qorax, thank you for your quick reply sooooo much.

So it means doring they are stamping our PR visa now in Seattle office, we don't need to inform them anything, just go directly to the US border for flagpolling is ok?

Thank you again. Qorax. ;D
