LANDING IN CANADA ??? -All You Need To Know.

HELLO TO ALL! Hope someone could help me.. I already have my copr and visa and along with got a medical surveillance undertaking sheet, my problem is... Since i used a representative to assist me with the whole application process (Campbell Cohen), i got an issue of finding out just recently that in Part 7 of the med surveillance sheet the address written is Campbell Cohen Law firm's address in Montreal Quebec, and now that our contract has ended unfortunately they cannot advise me on what to do with this. I intend to land and settle in toronto ontario this coming january2016, what should i do with the address and how should i do it. Thanks so much forumates and hope someone could help and advise me with this. Thanks again! Godbless us All.

Log in to your ecas status and change the address. Anyway you don't need to change it, once you land you can give them the address to which they should mail the PR card.

Hi All.

Hope you people are fine and doing well. I am planning to move Canada around 15 December. I am just a little bit confused in filling B4 form. Like there are 8 rows, how to fill those 8 rows.

As I have..

1) Lots of Jeans, shirts, t-shirts, shoes, sox and so on.
2) Lots of crockery and many things.
3) Lots of other stuff like bedsheets, pilows and so on
4) Toys
5) Laptop
6) food items
7) and there are so man other things as well..

please let me know how to fill those 8 rows. like there are following heading:

* Description of goods ( include serial numbers,...)
* Value ( CDN dollars)


i would be greatful to you if you people reply urgent.

The sample you see in at link was not the actual B4 form, but done in excel, and that's what a forum member used at landing.

Is it mandatory from March 15, 2016 and will it affect the people who have received COPR but will land after March 15, 2016 since visa is valid till April.

I will be landing alone, how much fund do I need to show? Also the bank people told that one person can not carry more than currency (cash) value more than USD 3000/- which will around CAD 4000.

Any views on Travel card and Traveler's cheque, which is better?

Pls advise.

The ETA will be mandatory from March 16th 2016 for visa-exempt passport holders, unless they hold a valid visa or PR card.

If you have a COPR it doesn't affect you travelling to land as PR.

If you don't hold a visa-exempt passport, it doesn't affect you at all anyway.

4) can i have sample for good filling form and currency declaration form, filled sample ?

neither is relevant to you as a new PR about to land.

you will apply for your SIN number on arrival. It's nothing to do with CIC or CBSA. Some airports have Service Canada offices where you can apply, others don't. It's got nothing to do with landing formalities as a PR.

Fill one for the goods you will have with you on landing, & one for goods you will bring in later. You can make a spreadsheet if necessary & attach a copy of B4/B4a which says "see attached spreadsheet"

CBSA will deal with your currency declaration when you arrive.

u have to show total for the whole family as per lico limit
U can bring TT TC DD ETC If not in cash
Cash is not necessary any acceptable form of cash

Friends,

We planned to land Toronto in Dec 2015. People say it's the first priority for newcomers. But my wife is pregnant now for 3 months and expect to deliver in May 2016. If we land in Toronto then need to wait 3 months for health insurance ie. till end of March 2016 and during that time we have to bear all the check-up cost that I really have no idea how much.

Any experts here can advise how much it will cost for pregnancy check up while we are waiting for health insurance? Or we should choose other provinces with shorter waiting time like Calgary or Manitoba that I heard can get immediate health insurance?
