Thank You Kuskus & Lammawitch
So whatever understanding i had on the landing formalities till now it is not correct it seems :) :) , below are my corrected understanding , please let me know if any of the below details are still not correct

1. We donot have to prepare and submit the PR pakages separately, instead it will be done online by CBSA agent online when landed and no additional supporting documents are to be submitted instead CORP , Passport alone as evidence should suffice. No Notarized documents are needed.
2. PR Card processing fees was paid already (RPRF Fees) and dont have to pay spearately now
3. SIN also can be applied at Airport Service Canada and can be recieved immediately
4. There is no separate documents for B4 and B4a instead same document is used for preparing the list (Goods to follow and goods accompanied).
Pretty sums it all up. Wish you a safe trip and a pleasant landing.

Im wondering if the data i provide to VO like our bank statement and properties during the application process will be available to the other government agencies like CRA, Servicecanada and other related departments,,

I'm afraid I apply for some child benefits and some childcare subsidy and they will say that I have money home!!

Thanks all

No worries. They don't pass around across different government departments. Besides, money at home does not affect how much you get in terms of child benefits and childcare subsidies.

hi
we just got ppr and i saw that we have to go to Canada before august 10 next year. i learned that we could go initial landing and then go back to Denmark and sell our farm.
the plan was to move june 2017, because then our children are done with highschool, elementry school and got the confirmation(very big celebration in Denmark) so my question is, when is the deadline to move when we get the landing in july 2016. would it be ok to move in june 2017

You must land before the expiry date on your COPR. After that you can y"go straight back to Denmark to wrap-up your affairs there.

Once you have landed, you must then spend 2/5 years (730 days) in Canada, in every (rolling) 5 year period to maintain the residency obligation for pr.

In your example: land July 2016, go back to Denmark to sell farm etc, move permanently to Canada in June 2017 = no problem.

Thanks Steaky,
I remember when I applied there is a kind of consent in the main form that you agree to share this info with some other federal department,, as far as I remember.

Regards the money at home, I remember when I filed the tax return last year they have asked me clearly if I have asset worth 110k outside Canada or not and that would affect my tax return as per the lady in the office,,

Yes you need to declare assets/property above a certain amount each year on your tax returns.

Nothing to do with child benefits. Some are statutory, some are *income* based. None of them are calculated on assets.

Stop worrying :).

Let's say you land Jun. 1st 2016 and go right back to India, to be on the safe side, you should be back in Canada no latter than Jun. 1st 2019; it's a matter of counting the days within the five year period and make sure you're present in Canada for 730 days.

Wish you well.

Thanks kuskus for your kind reply...so I will be applying for PR cards once I land..is it necessary to collect the cards and come back or is it we can come back..and gets the cards couriered to India ? Do we have to carry the cards next time when we go there ?

My advice is to wait and get your PR cards in-hand before you leave Canada, if you can "afford" to wait; the processing time for PR cards now is between 60-90 days.
If you can't wait, the only other option to you is to use the address of a relative or a friend that will mail the cards to you in India. CIC will not send the cards outside of Canada.

I don't know, how popular this is, but one choice "in between" the suggested 2 (above) is PRTD.
PR travel document.
Search more on that.

To get you started:
http://settlement.org/ontario/immigration-citizenship/landing-and-leaving/leaving-canada/i-need-to-leave-canada-but-do-not-have-my-pr-card-yet-what-should-i-do/

From what I have read, PRTD issue is at the discretion of the VO.
You have to make a genuine case to avail PRTD.

PRTD is also, "single use document" as given in the shared link.

Cheers,

bhushan.
