Hai rizmayo ,One more doubt--if PR card application is not needed while landing why QORAX HAD INCLUDED this form in the list of landing papers in the first page of this topic .Is this a new rule that we do not need to take the pre-printed PR card application form? If so can you please write once again what all are the papers to be carried with us and how many copy each for us and kids? I t will be a great help .May god bless you .Thank you josy

That is a very old post and Qorax has left this forum, so it cannot be updated.

Carry B4e and E677 and fill landing card (you will get this on the plane).

rizmayo,

What other docs and papers we need to carry (e.g., birth/marriage/school certificates, bank statements, photos for PRC, etc, etc ?).

Also, as Josy asked, what are residency obligations? residency questionnaire?

Thanks.

Experience with Landing with a B4 or a goods to follow?

Hi,
Does anyone have experience with completing the Landing procedures but without the B4 list or goods to follow?
My wife and I are planning to land, however we are not yet ready to move permanently to Canada. I asked the Border Information Services and confirmed that in that case I do not need to bring a B4 or a goods to follow list. I can do those later when I am ready to move permanently.

I just wanted to know the experience of someone who has done the same.

Thanks,
Kunal

Hi guys,
I will land soon in Toronto. Regarding my drivers license I have a question. My drivers license is in Russian and issued from 1989, when I try to make a Canadian one should I translate it and where can I do it?
YOU CAN FIND THAT OUT IN TORONTO

The main form is B4e (e stands for English). Don't worry it is the form everyone refers to as B4. B4a is just an extension of B4e.

Like when we move to a new house, we always make sure we take these important documents with us, same way you need to carry all these documents when you move permanently to canada you should carry them. But none of them are required at the airport for landing purpose.

What residency obligation are you referring to?

Correctme if mistaken: I think residency obligation is discussed well in its forum here http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/permanent-residency-obligations-b11.0/

But, what is the residency questionnaire? what does it ask? What are the passing marks?

It is still not clear what you are trying to ask? Residency Obligations for Canada are the number of days you need to be inside Canada to retain you PR status. Currently you are required to stay 2 years out of 5 years to renew your PR, or 4 years out of 6 years to apply for citizenship.

Where did you hear about residency questioner? Are you planning on completing your landing or are you still applying for immigration.

I am in the immigration process and will be landing soon.

I hear that when you apply for citizenship, you will need to appear for "residency questionnaire". That's what I am interested to know about.

I would not worry about that now. Rules for citizenship are in the process of being changed and what will be required at the time you apply for citizenship (at least 4 years after you land) cannot be predicted.

However for now there is an online tool that you need to update with the date you landed and the time you were outside Canada to see of you are eligible for citizenship application. This is the residency questioner, but it has still not been updated with the new 4 year requirement.
